Description

As a Vice President within Corporate Responsibility (CR), you will have an opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals focused on generating durable social impact at scale.

As a Vice President within CR, you will sit in the Executive Office of the Global Philanthropy (GP) function and play a central role in strengthening the operating infrastructure for the U.S. Philanthropy portfolio. You will lead standards, processes, reporting rhythms, and governance materials that help the U.S. team manage its pipeline, oversee its portfolio, engage business leaders, and make high-quality grantmaking decisions. This role requires strong judgement, disciplined execution, comfort working with data and systems, and the ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of U.S. Philanthropy in managing the U.S. philanthropy portfolio, including grantmaking governance, portfolio management, business planning, and execution of cross-departmental priorities
  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of U.S. grantmaking processes, templates, guidance, and governance calendars to support consistent and high-quality grantmaking
  • Manage U.S. grantmaking governance processes, including grant reviews, approval tracking, documentation requirements, and coordination across stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular pipeline and portfolio reviews, including tracking commitments, monitoring execution, identifying risks, and supporting portfolio-level decision-making
  • Manage portfolio, pipeline, and budget reporting for the U.S. philanthropy portfolio, including dashboards, data requests, and reporting for senior management
  • Oversee the Foundation Board review process globally, including coordinating review cycles, preparing materials, tracking approvals, and supporting continuous process improvement
  • Create presentations and briefing materials on the U.S. philanthropy portfolio for GP leadership, business partners, senior governance forums, and the Operating Committee
  • Support engagement with business leaders by preparing materials on portfolio strategy, capital commitments, impact, and business engagement activities
  • Serve as a change champion for GP's grants platform and related technology and reporting tools, helping drive adoption, improve processes, and ensure data quality
  • Manage centralized resources, documentation, and training related to grantmaking processes, governance expectations, and portfolio management practices

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7+ years of experience working in business management, portfolio management, and/or operations
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders, including managing competing priorities, preparing materials for executive decision-making, and driving follow-through on complex initiatives
  • Experience developing processes, guidance, or standards to improve consistency and transparency in execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and create presentations and materials for senior leaders, governance forums, and non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Outstanding analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and levels; comfort collaborating with teammates across multiple offices
  • Serve as a culture carrier and positive advocate for new processes, tools, and technology rolling out across GP and CR

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in social impact, philanthropy, impact investing and/or nonprofits, and demonstrated interest in economy mobility issues strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience using Salesforce
  • Experience developing dashboards, portfolio reporting, management reporting, or performance tracking tools
  • Experience developing and implementing knowledge management strategies in matrixed organizations

 

Note: This role requires five days in the office (Mon-Fri) and will not support hybrid options.
