Job OverviewResponsible for leading and managing the estimation and engineering team to deliver accurate and competitive cost estimates for MEP projects. Oversee the preparation of bids, proposals, and tender documents, ensuring alignment with company objectives, project specifications, and market conditions. Works closely with senior management and project teams to ensure optimal financial performance and project deliveryKey Accountabilities:Lead and manage the estimation and engineering team in preparing cost estimates, tenders, and bid proposals for MEP projects.Review project requirements, specifications, and design documents to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost estimation.Develop and maintain cost databases, ensuring accurate and updated pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractors.Assess project risks and develop cost-effective solutions through value engineering and risk mitigation strategies.Coordinate with procurement, project management, and engineering teams to gather accurate cost data and ensure alignment with project goals.Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and industry standards to ensure competitiveness in bids and proposals.Oversee the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions, ensuring compliance with client specifications and requirements.Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the estimation and engineering teams to improve performance and efficiency.Support senior management in strategic decision-making related to project cost control and financial planning.Key Focus Areas:Lead MEP Estimation Function: Manage end-to-end estimation and tendering activities across large-scale MEP projects.Drive Bid & Commercial Strategy : Develop competitive bidding strategies, conduct bid/no-bid evaluations, manage commercial risks and support negotiations to maximize project wins and profitability.Manage Costing & Value Engineering: Prepare accurate cost estimates, evaluate supplier quotations, identify project risks and implement value engineering solutions to optimize costs while maintaining technical compliance.Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, consultants, procurement, design and project teams to ensure successful bid preparation, project handover and execution support across multiple regions and project types.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques, BOQ preparation, and tendering processes for MEP projects.Experience in managing and mentoring a team of estimators and engineersProficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerStrong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on accuracy, deadlines, and cost control.Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and market conditions.
