Title:Specialist Procurement - Engineer ( Offshore Island Project)KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Specialist Procurement- Engineer for an Offshore Project to be based in UAE ( Abu Dhabi) as soon as the administrative processes are completed, will then relocate to Spain Office and then return to Abu Dhabi. The Procurement Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery of materials and equipment required for offshore projects. The role focuses on expediting vendor activities, monitoring production schedules, resolving delays, and coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, inspection agencies, and project teams to meet project milestones.Profile matching below criteria only will be contacted.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & ExpeditingReview purchase orders, contracts, and technical specifications for offshore materials and equipmentDevelop and maintain expediting plans aligned with project schedulesMonitor vendor manufacturing, fabrication, testing, and documentation progressFollow up with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed delivery dates and milestonesIdentify potential delays and implement mitigation and recovery plansVendor & Supplier CoordinationAct as the main point of contact between suppliers, vendors, and internal teamsConduct regular progress meetings with vendors (virtual or onsite)Coordinate with vendors for FAT, inspections, and material releaseExpedite critical and longlead items essential for offshore installationInspection, Logistics & DocumentationCoordinate with third-party inspection agencies for offshore equipmentEnsure timely completion and submission of vendor documents, MRBs, and certificatesLiaise with logistics and freight forwarding teams for shipping, customs clearance, and offshore deliveryTrack packing, preservation, and marking requirements for offshore conditionsReporting & Stakeholder CommunicationPrepare and issue weekly/monthly expediting and procurement status reportsHighlight risks related to delivery schedules, quality, or complianceCoordinate closely with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Construction, and Offshore teamsCompliance & QualityEnsure materials and equipment meet offshore standards and project specifications (API, ASME, ISO, NORSOK, etc.)Verify compliance with HSE requirements for offshore projectsSupport audits, inspections, and vendor assessments as requiredQualification & ExperienceMinimum Overall 15+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.Strong expertise in all aspects of procurement activities within the Offshore Oil & Gas industry.Having minimum 5+ years of previous experience working in ADNOC Offshore Projects.5-10 years of experience in procurement and expediting, preferably in offshore oil & gas or EPC projects.Strong experience handling longlead offshore equipment (valves, piping, rotating equipment, packages, etc.) Prior experience in vendor expediting, inspections, and logistics coordinationMust have worked at least 5 years of experience in similar position for mega oil and gas FEED/ EPC project ( more than US$ 1 Billion).Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a MUST.
