The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions, perform advanced cardiac surgical procedures, and work closely with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical intervention. Perform major cardiac surgical procedures according to clinical expertise and hospital facilities. Perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, and other cardiac procedures as qualified. Manage complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical cases. Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans. Provide post-operative care and monitor patients in collaboration with cardiac ICU and critical care teams. Manage surgical emergencies and post-operative complications. Interpret relevant cardiac imaging, angiography, laboratory investigations, and other diagnostic studies. Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, and other specialists. Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac team meetings and case discussions. Counsel patients and families regarding surgical options, risks, benefits, expected outcomes, and recovery. Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, and clinical documentation. Supervise and mentor specialist surgeons, residents, and junior medical staff where required. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing medical education (CME). Ensure compliance with healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Participate in on-call duties and emergency cardiac surgical coverage as required. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements MBBS / equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution. MS / MCh / FRCS / Arab Board / American Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic / Cardiac Surgery. Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience, including significant consultant-level experience. Proven expertise in adult cardiac surgery and complex cardiac surgical procedures. Strong experience in CABG and valve surgery is essential. Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
