Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor in Internal Medicine

The College of Medicine seeks a Clinical Assistant/ Associate Professor in Internal Medicine to contribute to high-quality Clinical teaching, scholarly activity, and academic service. The position focuses on undergraduate clinical education, supervision of students in affiliated teaching hospitals, and active participation in curriculum development and accreditation processes, starting fall 2026-2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver clinical teaching in Internal Medicine in alignment with the university standards of Teaching, Research, and Service.
  • Supervise, mentor, and assess medical students during inpatient, outpatient, and specialty rotations in Internal Medicine.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support clinical competence and professionalism.
  • Conduct clinical or educational research and publish outcomes in reputable journals or conferences.
  • Support curriculum integration between Internal Medicine and other basic and clinical sciences.
  • Participate in OSCEs, workplace-based assessments, and accreditation and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain professional, supportive relationships with students conducive to effective learning.
  • Perform additional academic or clinical duties as assigned by the department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Basic medical degree (MBBS/MD).
  • Postgraduate qualification or terminal clinical degree in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Board certification and eligibility for professional licensure in the UAE.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in clinical teaching and medical education.
  • Experience with integrated curricula and student-centered learning approaches (e.g., PBL/TBL) is desirable.
