Requirements
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or IT, with 6-8 years of procurement experience in a multinational industrial or infrastructure environment. Proficiency in Arabic and English is essential. Demonstrated success in project/tender management, supplier evaluation, cost optimization, and managing MEP maintenance, IT, and general service subcontracts is necessary. Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems, negotiation, analysis, stakeholder management, and knowledge of customs clearance and import/export procedures are required. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure is also key.
Description
The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead procurement activities for MEP maintenance, IT subcontracts, and general services for the High-Speed Rail project in Egypt. The role includes managing tenders, contracts, supplier relationships, and customs clearance for imported items, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, cost-efficiency, and quality standards.Your responsibilities: Procurement & RfX Management: Lead RfX and projects for MEP maintenance services, IT subcontracts, and general services subcontracts.Prepare RFXs, organize supplier consultations, and evaluate supplier proposals.Negotiate contracts, costs, lead times, and service levels with suppliers.Establish and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.Supplier & Contract Management: Source and pre-qualify suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and address performance issues.Support contract negotiations with legal and contracts teams.Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures.Analysis & Reporting: Support to Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to optimize procurement decisions.Track procurement performance metrics, including cost savings, lead times, and payment terms.Maintain accurate procurement records and support to prepare Pipe line reports for management review.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination of agreements.Other Duties: Participate in industry events and supplier exhibitions to expand supplier networks.Identify new supply sources and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to optimize costs.Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Procurement & Contracts.Your profile/ qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferred Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or ITProficiency in Arabic and English ((spoken, written, and technical communication).6–8 years of procurement experience in a multinational industrial or infrastructure environment.Demonstrated success in project/tender management, supplier evaluation, and cost optimization.Experience managing MEP maintenance, IT subcontracts and general service subcontracts.Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of customs clearance and import/export procedures.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
