Requirements

Project: Major Offshore Redevelopment ProjectLocation: Middle East / Offshore QatarPosition SummaryThe Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, preparation, coordination, and execution of offshore installation engineering activities for the Bul Hanine Redevelopment Project and other Middle East offshore projects. The role provides technical leadership and operational oversight to ensure offshore construction and installation activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, company standards, and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesOffshore Installation Engineering & Project ExecutionLead the preparation, planning, and management of offshore installation activities throughout all project phases.Develop and implement offshore installation methodologies, procedures, work packs, and execution plans.Manage the overall offshore installation engineering scope for Middle East projects, ensuring compliance with project schedules, quality requirements, and HSE standards.Support project execution by providing technical guidance and solutions to offshore installation challenges.Project Coordination & Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with clients, subcontractors, marine contractors, and other relevant stakeholders during offshore construction and installation activities.Coordinate and supervise offshore construction activities to ensure safe and efficient project execution.Facilitate communication between engineering, construction, marine operations, procurement, and project management teams.Offshore Operations ManagementMonitor offshore construction progress and performance, ensuring activities are completed according to approved plans and schedules.Coordinate the allocation and utilization of offshore resources, including vessels, equipment, materials, and personnel.Support marine spread planning, vessel mobilization and demobilization, and offshore logistics management.Ensure effective resource planning and coordination to achieve project objectives and minimize operational risks.Process Improvement & Knowledge ManagementContinuously enhance organizational process assets relating to offshore engineering and construction management.Capture, document, and disseminate lessons learned and best practices from offshore installation projects.Contribute to the improvement of engineering procedures, work processes, and operational standards.Project SupportPrepare technical reports, progress updates, installation execution documents, and project deliverables as required.Perform duties and special assignments delegated by the Project Manager.Support initiatives and activities assigned by the Offshore Operations Center.Qualifications & Professional RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree in Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of experience in the offshore engineering and construction industry.Proven experience in offshore installation engineering and project execution for major offshore oil and gas developments.Strong expertise in:Offshore construction and installation operationsVessel survey and inspectionMarine and maritime managementOffshore operations management proceduresOffshore project planning and executionTechnical CompetenciesStrong understanding of offshore installation methods, heavy lifting operations, marine spread management, and subsea/offshore construction activities.Ability to act as a lead specialist and provide technical leadership on offshore engineering matters.Proficient in project planning, risk assessment, resource management, and construction coordination.Familiarity with international offshore engineering and marine industry standards.Language RequirementsFluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in an offshore engineering environment.Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred and considered an advantage.Professional QualificationsProfessional qualification or recognized designation as a Senior Engineer.Relevant certifications related to offshore engineering, marine operations, or project management are advantageous.Key AttributesStrong leadership and team coordination skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural project environment.Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.Reporting To: Project Manager / Offshore Operations CenterEmployment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Offshore Oil & Gas Engineering and Construction
