Job Title: Junior AccountantReporting to: Chief AccountantJob Objectives:To support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with timely reporting and compliance. The Junior Accountant will gain hands-on experience across various accounting functions and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.Perform basic reconciliation tasks (e.g., bank, supplier, customer accounts).Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting monthly closing activities.Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.Help manage petty cash records and staff expense claimsPerform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Educational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Technical SkillsBasic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Familiarity with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Understanding of UAE VAT compliance is a plus.Accurate data entry and basic reconciliation skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to system-based processes.Years of Experience:2 years of accounting experience.Exposure to a manufacturing or project-based industry is an advantage.
