Requirements

A prestigious Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist / Consultant – General Surgery to join its expanding surgical team.This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified General Surgeon to work within a well-established government healthcare environment, providing high-quality surgical care and contributing to clinical excellence.We are particularly interested in candidates with internationally recognized qualifications, including UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board credentials.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist/consultant-level surgical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures according to clinical expertise and experience.Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.Manage elective and emergency surgical cases.Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.Monitor patients throughout the surgical care pathway and manage potential complications.Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and surgical documentation.Participate in surgical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.Contribute to the training, supervision, and mentoring of junior medical staff.Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical governance.Keep up to date with current surgical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and developments in General Surgery.
