Senior Infrastructure EngineerJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure security, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.Manage Windows Server and/or Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies.Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.Configure and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required.Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance and proactively address potential issues.Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.Participate in high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure transformation projects.Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or infrastructure automation platforms.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.Work closely with application, cybersecurity, network, database, and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery.Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments.Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.Strong experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management.Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools.Strong understanding of high availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Preferred QualificationsCertifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL.Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash.Experience supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments.Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
