The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments and be comfortable supporting mission-critical production databases.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.Perform database administration activities including users, roles, privileges, tablespaces, datafiles, schemas, indexes, and database objects.Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform SQL/query and database performance tuning.Manage Oracle RMAN backup/recovery, Data Pump (expdp/impdp), and SQL Server backup and restore operations.Implement and support Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and disaster recovery solutions.Manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping, and Database Mirroring.Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, refreshes, cloning, and environment synchronization.Monitor database health, capacity, storage, sessions, locks, jobs, and alerts; proactively resolve issues.Handle production incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, and change activities in accordance with defined SLAs.Implement database security, access controls, auditing, and compliance standards.Develop and maintain database monitoring, maintenance, backup, and recovery procedures.Collaborate with application, infrastructure, development, and cloud teams to resolve database-related issues.Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.Required Technical SkillsOracle:Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c or higherRMAN, Data Pump, SQL*LoaderRAC and Data GuardPerformance tuning, AWR/ASHTablespace, datafile, user and privilege managementDatabase upgrades, patching, backup and recoveryMicrosoft SQL Server:SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022T-SQL and query optimizationAlways On Availability GroupsFailover ClusteringReplication and Log ShippingBackup, restore and recoverySQL Server performance monitoring and troubleshootingThe candidate should have 8+ years of DBA experience, with strong hands-on expertise in both Oracle and MSSQL, particularly in production support, performance tuning, backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, and database security.
