RoleThe Cyber Security Engineer will support and manage all aspects of cyber security for large scale turnkey system integration (SI) telecoms projects across the world. Working in collaboration with the projects group to ensure effective delivery of projects and services to customersKey responsibilitiesProvide Cyber Security support for turnkey system integration (SI) telecoms projects Support and manage the security design, implementation and testing of telecoms systemsPreperation of security documentation, security specifications, test procedures, network drawings, asset inventories, self assessments, and provide input or peer review of other project documentsLiase with suppliers and third parties to ensure that customer requirements are metTravel and atted client meetings, review meetings, vendor system FATs as requiredConducting security testing (network/port scanning, vulnerability scanning, network stress testing)Knowledge of industry standard Risk Assessment approaches such as NIST 800-30Knowledge of industry standards such as NIST CSF, NIST RMF, ISO 27000, IEC 62443Experience configuring and securing Windows OS, Linux OS, Network Equipment (Switches, Routers, Firewalls), and embedded devicesComprehensive understanding of Technical, Administrative and Physical controls to safeguard data and systemsAbility to drive assessments through interviews and relationships to understand and quantify appropriate risksResearch general and industry specific security trendsStay up to date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilitiesAbility to clearly communicate security requirements to project teams and vendorsSupport project teams with various tasks if needed, for example networking and systemsProvide support to bids team for proposalsProvide support to wider security team as and when required Qualifications & ExperienceEducationIT related degree or equivalentCyber security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, Security+, CEHExperienceAt least 5 years of experience in information technology supporting networks and systemsExperience of working on industrial projects (oil and gas, manufacturing, renewables, etc)Experience with Telecoms systems (PAGA, CCTV, ACS, Radio, LAN, WAN, IDS, etc) Key CompetenciesEffective communication skills enabling the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences both verbally and in writing.Ability to establish trust with partners through demonstration of knowledge and commitment to security.Understanding of the role of the information security program in the securing of an organisation.Strong knowledge and understanding of the role of technical, administrative and physical controls in securing information.Confidence to recommend changes and improvements to the security program.Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously.
