Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. The consultant neurologist will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of neurological conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key responsibilities
Provide consultant-level neurological assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute and chronic neurological disorders.
Manage conditions including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, neurodegenerative disorders, and other complex neurological conditions.
Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient reviews, and follow-up care while developing individualized treatment plans.
Interpret neurological investigations including neuroimaging, electrodiagnostic studies, and other relevant diagnostic assessments where applicable.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgery, rehabilitation, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, medical education, and departmental development activities.
