Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for patients across a range of mental health conditions.
Diagnose and manage conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and other psychiatric conditions according to clinical expertise.
Provide appropriate pharmacological and other evidence-based psychiatric interventions, with regular monitoring of treatment response and safety.
Assess patients presenting with complex or acute psychiatric needs and coordinate appropriate escalation, admission, or referral when required.
Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, primary care physicians, and other medical specialists to provide coordinated patient care.
Provide patient and family education, counselling, and support while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support safeguarding, clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
