KBR is looking for a Senior Supervisor, Operations with onshore site project experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi site for a PMC project.
Key responsibilities
Construction supervision
Supervise all piping installation and erection activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities.
Ensure piping works are executed in compliance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
Coordinate piping construction activities with civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning teams.
Monitor daily construction activities to ensure planned targets are achieved.
Verify correct installation of pipe supports, spool assemblies, valves, fittings, and specialty items.
Execution & coordination
Manage and supervise contractor and subcontractor piping teams.
Ensure availability of manpower, tools, equipment, and materials required for construction activities.
Review work packs, construction schedules, and fabrication priorities.
Resolve site-related construction issues and coordinate engineering clarifications.
Interface with vendors and technical specialists regarding piping systems and equipment connections.
Welding & testing
Monitor piping fabrication and welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS/PQR and project specifications.
Coordinate hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, air blowing, and reinstatement activities.
Ensure proper preservation and cleanliness requirements are maintained during construction.
Verify punch-list closure and system readiness for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Health, safety & environment (HSE)
Ensure strict compliance with company and client HSE requirements.
Promote a zero-incident safety culture across all piping activities.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
Monitor lifting operations, hot work activities, confined space entry, and work-at-height compliance.
Stop unsafe work practices and ensure immediate corrective actions.
Quality assurance & quality control
Ensure construction activities comply with project quality requirements and international standards.
Coordinate inspections with QA/QC personnel and client inspectors.
Verify completion of inspection records, test packages, and quality documentation.
Ensure non-conformance reports (NCRs) are addressed and closed promptly.
Monitor welding quality, NDT activities, and final acceptance requirements.
Planning & reporting
Monitor progress versus schedule and identify potential delays.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.
Review productivity and workforce utilization.
Assist project management in developing recovery plans when required.
Track construction milestones and completion targets.
Commissioning support
Support Mechanical Completion (MC) and Ready for Commissioning (RFC) activities.
Ensure timely turnover of piping systems to commissioning teams.
Participate in walkdowns, punch-list verification, and system handovers.
Coordinate reinstatement activities following testing and inspection.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Additional certifications in construction management, welding inspection, or piping systems are advantageous.
HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are preferred.
Experience
Minimum 10–15 years of piping construction experience in oil & gas projects.
At least 5 years in a senior supervisory role.

Experience with international operators such as ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, PDO, Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, or similar is highly preferred.
