Overview of the role The Collections Executive is responsible for maximizing collection efforts by maintaining consistent follow-up with debtors and defaulters to ensure full settlement. The role focuses on minimizing overdue receivables while optimizing cash flow levels. Success in this position requires adherence to collection procedures and ethical practices, while maintaining accurate records and effective communication with customers and internal teams. What you will do Conduct regular follow-ups with past-due customers via telephone calls and emails to ensure timely collection of overdue amounts. Maintain complete and accurate collection records by documenting all customer interactions in the Collection Management Log. Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries related to collections. Ensure timely and effective collection of overdue amounts through consistent and rigorous follow-up to recover the pending dues. Provide timely feedback and updates to the team regarding customer payment behaviour, history, and financial health. Ensure strict adherence to collection procedures, SOP, compliance standards, and ethical practices while protecting the organization's reputation. Handle timely escalation and transfer of accounts for legal action by completing required formalities and following up until resolution. Coordinate with all relevant departments, including Operations, to resolve customer/account issues affecting customer payment behaviour. Negotiate repayment solutions with customers via calls, emails, and meetings to resolve pending dues. Submit periodic ad-hoc reports to the Line Manager. Required skills to be successful Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for efficient negotiation and problem resolution. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. Proficiency in Collection Management Systems and data analysis tools. Adherence to ethical practices and company policies in debt collection. What qualifies you for the role Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
