Requirements
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.At least 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or managerial role.Previous experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred, particularly in pasta, flour milling, bakery, or similar processing industries.Preferred ExperienceHands-on experience with Anselmo pasta production lines is highly preferred.Experience with Italian pasta processing equipment manufacturers such as Pavan, Fava, Braibanti, or equivalent is an advantage.Strong knowledge of pasta processing equipment including mixers, presses, dryers, conveyors, packaging machines, and related auxiliary systems.Experience in the commissioning and start-up of new manufacturing facilities is highly desirable.

Mechanical Maintenance ManagerLocation: IraqIndustry: Food Manufacturing – New Pasta Production PlantDepartment: Engineering & MaintenanceReports To: Plant ManagerJob PurposeThe Mechanical Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and production continuity. The role oversees preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs while supporting the successful commissioning and operation of a new pasta manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.Lead, supervise, and develop the mechanical maintenance team to achieve high performance and technical excellence.Support the installation, commissioning, and start-up of new production lines and utility systems.Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize production downtime.Investigate equipment failures using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.Prepare annual maintenance plans, budgets, and spare parts strategies.Implement and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), where applicable.Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Utilities, and Warehouse departments to ensure smooth plant operations.Manage critical spare parts inventory and optimize maintenance costs.Supervise contractors, equipment suppliers, and external service providers.Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.Monitor and report key maintenance performance indicators, including:Equipment AvailabilityDowntimeMean Time to Repair (MTTR)Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)Maintenance Cost PerformanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment efficiency and reliability.Ensure all maintenance documentation, SOPs, and technical records are accurate and up to date.
