Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and highly skilled consultant urologist to join its multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical and surgical management of urological conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system, with a strong focus on patient-centred care and clinical excellence. Current UAE consultant urology roles commonly include advanced endoscopic, minimally invasive, and surgical procedures, as well as management of stones, prostate disorders, and urological cancers.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive urological consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
Diagnose and manage a broad range of adult urological conditions.
Manage conditions involving the kidneys, urinary tract, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive system.
Evaluate and treat kidney and ureteric stones, urinary tract disorders, urinary obstruction, hematuria, urinary incontinence, and prostate conditions.
Diagnose and manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and lower urinary tract symptoms.
Evaluate and manage male infertility and other male reproductive and sexual health conditions.
Diagnose and manage urological malignancies in collaboration with oncology teams.
Perform appropriate endoscopic, laparoscopic, minimally invasive, and open urological procedures according to clinical expertise and approved privileges.
Perform procedures such as cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, and other endourological interventions where appropriately qualified.
Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide comprehensive perioperative and post-operative care.
Manage acute and emergency urological presentations and post-operative complications.
Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other relevant diagnostic studies.
Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and operative documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and continuing medical education.
Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff where required.
Requirements
