About you
Qualifications and experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology or a closely related discipline.
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Have a minimum of three years' successful teaching experience in Psychology, preferably at Key Stage 5.
Experience of teaching, or a willingness and ability to lead the introduction of A Level Sociology.
Demonstrable track record of securing excellent outcomes at GCSE and/or A Level.
Experience of curriculum development and improvement within a secondary or post-16 setting.
Evidence of successful leadership experience or significant leadership contribution within a department.
Strong understanding of current educational research, assessment practices and evidence-informed pedagogy.
Commitment to continuing professional development in both subject expertise and leadership.
