OverviewThe Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering the holistic supply strategy, aligned to PepsiCo business objectives, for the relevant category/group of categories. The holder ensures demand is met through feasible, resilient category supply plans, across a multi-site manufacturing and distribution footprint, by determining optimal inventory targets and short-/mid-term sourcing routes/options (tactical network optimization).Through close partnerships with colleagues across FtS and Markets teams, the holder is accountable for enabling feasible, executable supply plans for the OUs by balancing service, inventory, network capacity, and cost parameters.ResponsibilitiesOwns midterm material planning, incl. addressing capacity or inventory constraints for the relevant category, to hand over for execution to each Site Integrated PlannerOwns the holistic supply plan for assigned category/group of categories, translating demand into feasible production, inventory and deployment plansAccountable for tactical network optimization for the relevant category, working closely with Tactical Network Optimization modelers to define scenarios to run/test to achieve expected priorities on inventory and service levelsAccountable for inventory strategy for the relevant category, working closely with Inventory Optimization (IO) to define scenarios to run/testSupports daily management routines and continuous improvement initiatives, in partnership with Site Integrated Planners and Value Stream DRP PlannersClosely collaborate with Site Integrated Planners and Value Stream DRP Planners to execute the inventory strategy by tracking actuals, root-causing any exceptions, and driving corrective actionsOwns the holistic, OU-level supply plan for new product introductions and promotional SKUsCoordinates with manufacturing sites and co-manufacturers to ensure supply feasibility, escalating risks and supporting volume rebalancing decisionsPartners with local Market teams to understand and challenge demand assumptions, and identify market-driven risks and opportunities; agree and own recovery actions to resolve demand-supply imbalancesServes as point of escalation for FtS Planners and local/Market teams as neededShares best practices and provide informal coaching and problem-solving support to peers on complex category planning issuesMaintains close contact with other Category SPs, to proactively address any cross-category risks or opportunities via the iS&OE and iS&OP processes, as relevantAttends the OU-level SMR and informs planning decision recommendations within defined boundaries for the relevant CategoryAttend the weekly Supply Control as needed, where trade-off decisions affecting the Category are requiredQualificationsTarget years experience: 11+ yearsEngineering degree is a must Inventory Glidepath Ownership & Tracking Supply Planning Results Accountability Capacity What If Scenario Planning Stakeholder Collaboration (IOL/Initiatives) Issue Resolution & Escalation Management Proficiency level: 1 Foundational, 2 Proficient, 3 Expert
