Job PurposeThe Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for executing all Accounts Receivable (AR) activities within the Shared Services Center (SSC) across Mantrac Group entities in scope. The role ensures timely and accurate cash application, customer account reconciliation, deduction processing, write-offs, debtor provisioning, and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing cash flow, maintaining customer account accuracy, supporting month-end closing activities, and delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesCash Application & Customer Account ManagementProcess and monitor incoming customer payments accurately and efficiently.Verify, post, and allocate customer receipts to the appropriate accounts.Match customer accounts based on remittance advice and allocation details received from business units.Perform automatic customer account matching through RPA tools and execute manual matching when required.Maintain accurate customer account balances and investigate discrepancies promptly.Manage customer advance payments and regularly review unallocated cash balances.Deductions, Adjustments & Write-OffsReview, validate, and post customer deductions, including withholding tax (WHT), penalties, rebates, and other adjustments.Process and post write-off requests in accordance with approved policies and workflows.Ensure all deductions and adjustments are supported by proper documentation and approvals.Collections Support & ReconciliationCommunicate with business units and stakeholders regarding outstanding allocations and unallocated cash positions.Perform regular and monthly reconciliations of AR accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.Investigate and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner.Support local finance teams by providing account status updates and reconciliation reports.Debtor Provisioning & CompliancePrepare and run monthly debtor provision calculations in line with company policies and IFRS 9 requirements.Process approved provision entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and financial policies.Operational ExcellenceManage and close customer-related portal cases within agreed SLAs.Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.Collaborate closely with finance teams across business units to deliver best-in-class shared services support.Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements.Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (English or French Section preferred).1-2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, Shared Services, or a related accounting function.Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and AR processes.Exposure to ERP systems and financial applications is an advantage.
