Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field, with 4-5 years of relevant experience in DLP, facilities management, construction, project handover, or building/property management. Hands-on experience in DLP/defect management and post-handover activities is essential. Strong communication, contractor management, stakeholder management, and a good understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements are also necessary.

Job Title – DLP EngineerWork Location: SharjahKey ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor DLP cases for residential units, common areas, and community assets.Review, categorize, assign, track, and close defects through CAFM/CRM systems.Conduct site inspections, snagging/de-snagging inspections, and defect verification.Prepare inspection reports with photographs and technical observations.Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers for defect rectification.Monitor contractor performance and follow up on overdue defects.Conduct joint inspections with contractors, consultants, residents, and internal teams.Coordinate with homeowners/tenants to arrange inspections and rectification works.Review recurring defects and recommend corrective/preventive actions.Verify rectification works against approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and contractual obligations.Maintain DLP documentation, photographs, correspondence, approvals, and closure records.Prepare weekly/monthly DLP reports covering backlog, response time, closure time, and contractor performance.Review handover documentation including O&M manuals, warranties, asset registers, as-built drawings, testing & commissioning records.Coordinate with Project Management, QA/QC, Facilities Management, Community Management, Customer Service, and Finance teams.Analyze defect trends and identify root causes and recurring issues.Assist in developing and improving DLP SOPs, checklists, inspection templates, and CAFM/mobile inspection processesRequirementsBachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field.4–5 years of relevant experience in DLP, facilities management, construction, project handover, or building/property management.Hands-on experience in DLP/defect management and post-handover activities.Comfortable communicating with customers and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.Good understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements.Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
