Requirements
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Control Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in the O&G Industry, with at least 3 years as an Analyst in Advanced Process Control. Experience in ethylene and polyethylene manufacturing is required. Experience in the Petrochemicals Industry is preferred.

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVESupport company operations through ongoing monitoring, analysis, and improvement of the Advanced Process Control (APC) schemes to ensure optimized operational performance and asset integrity.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAPC Monitoring & ImprovementMonitor and analyze the mid and long-term technical performance of APC against internal and external benchmarks to ensure ongoing optimization.Identify recurring APC problems and/or limitations and proposes initiatives to ensure the development of sustainable solutions and capture various optimization opportunities.Participate and lead Management of Change (MOC) for advance process control related changes, support other plant, and process changes from a process control perspective.Track mid and long-term process technical performance using – among others – predefined and agreed technical and economical KPIs and assesses process control impact on the actual performance.Provide guidance to Operations on the general and long-term advance process control strategy for specific units or sub-units to ensure optimized units.Conduct internal and external process control and APC studies to ensure company alignment to industry leading practices.Ensure that the ethylene unit and other units APC are optimized and operating at high uptime.Participate and help lead the digital transformation initiatives for company.Policies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresContribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices in order to increase productivity and operational efficiency.Implement all relevant Section's policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Quality, Health, Security, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/servicesReportingContribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.QatarizationContribute to the development of Qatari employees.
