Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within power generation, preferably in combined cycle power plants.- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, and protection devices.- Software Skills: Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.People Management  Supervise the activities and work of the team members to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.  Maintenance Management Monitor the Electrical preventive and corrective maintenance and overhauling work activities to ensure continuity and reliability of plant electrical equipment. Manage the timely response to all emergency breakdowns and provide prompt corrective action to ensure plant availability, thereby minimising downtime and possibility of liquidity damages.  Develop and promote a condition based preventive maintenance culture on day to day basis by conducting troubleshooting and root cause analyses, finding solutions to reduce reactive maintenance. 
Description
1. Maintenance Planning & Execution:- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS, motors and other ancillary systems.- Schedule and execute electrical maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.-       Ensures necessary tooling-       Ensures necessary Third Party Certification 2. Team Leadership:- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of electrical maintenance engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous development.- Evaluate team performance and provide training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.3. Technical Support:- Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues, ensuring best practices in maintenance and repair work.- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and develop strategies to mitigate reoccurrence.4. Project Management:- Plan and oversee electrical maintenance projects and upgrades, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and compliance with safety regulations.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including mechanical, operations, and engineering) to facilitate coordinated maintenance efforts with minimal disruption.5. Budget and Resource Management:- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the development of the annual maintenance budget for electrical systems and manage resources effectively.- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability.6 . Procurement & Storage- Ensures adequate inventories of spares and consumables and ensure timely procurement for the efficient operation- To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumablesTo perform technical evaluation of quotations received from purchase department and recommend appropriate choice. 7 . Compliance and Safety:- Ensure all electrical maintenance activities comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.- Conduct periodic safety audits, training, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.- Ensure compliance of Corporate and site specific procedures and Work Instructions. 8. Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, parts inventory, and performance metrics.- Prepare reports outlining maintenance schedules, completed work, and any issues for management review.-KPIs development, implementation and tracking, 9. Continuous Improvement:- Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance electrical maintenance processes.- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and advancements to improve plant reliability and efficiency.10.
