Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Hematology Oncology to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders and solid tumors, delivering evidence-based treatment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with hematological disorders, including anemia, coagulation disorders, leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and other blood-related diseases.Assess and treat patients with solid tumors using evidence-based oncology practices.Develop individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care.Interpret diagnostic investigations, including bone marrow biopsies, pathology reports, molecular testing, and imaging studies.Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists.Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and provide survivorship and palliative care when appropriate.Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation and compliance with hospital policies.Leadership & Service DevelopmentContribute to the development and enhancement of Hematology Oncology services.Participate in departmental quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.Support accreditation and regulatory compliance requirements.Education & TrainingProvide teaching, supervision, and mentorship to junior physicians, residents, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities and departmental educational programs.Promote awareness of advances in hematology and oncology care.Research & Academic ActivitiesParticipate in clinical research, audits, and evidence-based practice initiatives.Contribute to publications, presentations, and clinical trials where applicable.Stay updated with emerging therapies and international treatment guidelines.Qualifications & RequirementsMedical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Completion of accredited specialty training in Internal Medicine followed by Fellowship/Subspecialty training in Hematology Oncology.Board Certification in Hematology, Medical Oncology, or Hematology-Oncology recognized by the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi.Minimum of 3–5 years post-board/fellowship experience as a Consultant Hematology Oncologist.Eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licensure.Strong clinical expertise in managing hematological malignancies and solid tumors.Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.Preferred QualificationsExperience in tertiary care hospitals, comprehensive cancer centers, or academic medical institutions.Experience with stem cell transplantation programs is desirable.Participation in clinical trials and oncology research.Expertise in precision medicine, molecular oncology, and advanced therapeutics.BenefitsCompetitive tax-free salary package.Family benefits as per organizational policy.Comprehensive health insurance.Annual leave and airfare allowance.Continuing Medical Education (CME) support.Relocation assistance.
