Requirements
Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.-Professional certifications such as OSHA, IOSH, and NEBOSH. Experience: - 10+ years of experience in agriculture or the food industry.-Practical experience in implementing occupational health and safety procedures and risk management. Personal & Professional Skills:- Strong leadership, time-management, and organizational skills.-Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate employees.- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.-Ability to solve problems quickly and take appropriate corrective actions.-Ability to explain information and communicate procedures clearly and effectively.-Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take responsibility.-Language: Very good command of English-The company provides transportation on the following routes: (Alexandria – El Agamy – Abu El Matamir – Kafr El-Dawwar). Position Objective:-To ensure a safe and healthy working environment by identifying and controlling occupational hazards, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable HSE standards and regulations, reducing workplace accidents and risks, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees.Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and implement Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.- Prepare and implement workplace health and safety plans in accordance with applicable legal requirements and regulations. - Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for agricultural and industrial operations. - Ensure that safety procedures are properly implemented during the operation, maintenance, and servicing of equipment and machinery. - Conduct regular safety inspections and site visits across farms, warehouses, and work areas. - Investigate accidents, injuries, incidents, and near misses, and identify appropriate corrective and preventive actions. - Develop and maintain emergency response, evacuation, and fire prevention and control plans. - Train employees on safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety controls. - Ensure the availability, suitability, and proper use of appropriate personal protective equipment. - Provide safety and occupational health orientation and training to visitors, contractors, temporary workers, and employees. - Provide recommendations, improvement opportunities, and preventive measures to reduce workplace risks and create a safer working environment. - Manage and supervise the Occupational Health and Safety team and conduct regular performance evaluations. - Prepare, maintain, and update required safety records, reports, and documentation. - Participate in internal and external safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
