Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, electrolyte disorders and complex renal conditions.
Provide consultant-level care for patients requiring haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and other renal replacement therapies.
Manage patients with hypertension, diabetic kidney disease and other conditions affecting renal function.
Evaluate patients for renal biopsy, vascular access and kidney transplantation where appropriate.
Collaborate with urology, cardiology, endocrinology, intensive care, surgery and other specialties for comprehensive patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
