Advanced knowledge of international tax regulations, IFRS accounting (IAS 12), modern tax developments (including Pillar Two), and expertise in complex tax compliance, corporate financial accounting, deferred tax computations, and risk registers are essential. Experience with tax provisioning and reporting tools like Oracle TRCS or equivalent platforms is a strong advantage. English proficiency is mandatory, while Arabic is a plus. Experience working within the GCC area and/or within multinational corporate structures is preferred.
Description
We are seeking a specialized Tax Senior Expert to support and drive key tax operations in Qatar and across the group. This role requires a Finance or Accounting background combined with a deep understanding of international and local tax laws, particularly within Qatar's regulatory framework, to manage complex tax compliance and ensure robust tax reporting and accounting under IFRS across the group's operations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review corporate income tax computations and manage VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) compliance for the Qatar UPE entity.Oversee and review tax compliance submissions across other group jurisdictions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with applicable local tax laws.Assist with the preparation of current and deferred tax calculations and tax provisions, including Pillar Two disclosures, under International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS 12).Perform detailed WHT analysis on cross-border payments, interpret double tax treaties, and support transfer pricing compliance across group entities.Support the Tax Function in transaction-related tax analysis, M&A due diligence, and the review of Transaction Agreements to identify and assess tax exposures.Actively support ongoing tax technology and system implementations (including Oracle TRCS and EPM platforms), contributing to the automation of tax provisioning and group reporting processes.Implement strong tax controls, manage sectional budget preparation, and coordinate comprehensive documentation for tax authority audits or disputes.Coordinate with subsidiary teams across jurisdictions and contribute to group-level tax reporting, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), and Pillar Two compliance monitoring.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Taxation, or Business from a reputable university (Mandatory).Advanced knowledge of international tax regulations, IFRS accounting (IAS 12), and modern tax developments, including OECD BEPS initiatives and Pillar Two global minimum tax rules, is essential.Familiarity with Qatar's Income Tax Law and Executive Regulations and applicable double tax treaties, is an advantage.Expertise in complex tax compliance frameworks, corporate financial accounting, deferred tax computations, and risk registers.Hands-on experience with tax provisioning and reporting tools such as Oracle TRCS or equivalent platforms is a strong advantage.English proficiency is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.Experience working within the GCC area and/or within multinational corporate structures.What We OfferWe offer a full-time, stable employment contract.Full assistance throughout the entire visa and mobilization process.We cover the initial flight to Qatar for you and your family.We provide a 5* hotel for your initial 30 days upon arrival in Qatar.Annual flights for self and family (up to 3 children to age 18).Education allowance (up to 3 children to age 18).Medical Health Insurance for self, spouse and up to 3 children to age 18.Life Insurance for self onlyAnnual Performance Related bonusEnd of Service Gratuity.Why Join Us We offer a stable, professional workplace where your tax background and analytical skills are truly valued.
