Experience with coherent optical system test, measurement methods, and debug is desirable. Candidates should have an aptitude for working with large datasets, performing statistical analysis, and presenting data. Team orientation and excellent communication skills are also required.
Description

Nokia is searching for a qualified candidate to work as a Product Engineer focused on the introduction of next-generation coherent optical pluggable modules.  Working in a vertically integrated organization, there will be opportunity to help products achieve industry leading performance through engineering optimization end-to-end.  This candidate hired to this position will help drive engineering optimization and yield improvements for the 800G pluggable line as it ramps to volume production, while also supporting new product development and introduction.  The position provides a rich learning environment that is highly cross-functional with hardware design, test, firmware, reliability, and manufacturing teams.  The ideal candidate has a background in optical engineering and coherent communications systems, enjoys data analysis and developing automation solutions, and can ramp up quickly in a multi-disciplinary environment.  The position is based in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
