A minimum of 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare institution is mandatory. Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures is essential. Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, and English fluency is preferred. Experience in hepatology and advanced endoscopic procedures is advantageous.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist who is fluent in Arabic to join a reputable healthcare facility in Al Ain. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with international clinical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, pancreatitis, and gastrointestinal bleeding.Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.Manage both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases.Develop individualized treatment and long-term follow-up plans for patients.Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, and multidisciplinary medical teams.Provide culturally sensitive communication and consultation to Arabic-speaking patients and families.Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, CME activities, and departmental meetings.Educate patients regarding digestive health, preventive care, diet, and lifestyle modifications.Qualifications & RequirementsMBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.Board Certification / Fellowship in Gastroenterology.Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Gastroenterology.Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare institution.Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and English (preferred).Preferred SkillsExperience in hepatology and management of chronic liver diseases.Exposure to advanced endoscopic procedures is an advantage.Strong patient communication and counseling skills.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.BenefitsCompetitive tax-free salaryFamily benefitsHealth insuranceAnnual airfare allowancePaid annual leaveCME and professional development support
