Job SummaryThe Procurement & Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning project material requirements, managing procurement activities, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring materials and equipment are available at the right time and at the right cost.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurementPrepare procurement plans based on project schedules and material requirements.Prepare and issue RFQs to local and international suppliers.Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.Prepare purchase orders and follow up on approvals.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery.PlanningDevelop and maintain project procurement schedules.Prepare material requirement plans based on project execution schedules.Identify long-lead items and ensure they are ordered in advance.Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers to understand upcoming material requirements.Maintain an updated Procurement Tracking Sheet / Material Status Report.CoordinationWork closely with Engineering to ensure purchased materials comply with approved technical specifications.Coordinate with Finance regarding purchase approvals and supplier payments.
