Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in SCADA and substation automation systems (13.8 kV–380 kV range). At least 2 years of this experience should be in a similar role, with hands-on SCADA/HMI programming and configuration skills. Knowledge of IEC 61850 and relevant certifications are highly desirable.

JAL International Company Limited is looking for an experienced SCADA Engineer to join our Energy Services team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA and substation automation systems for 13.8 kV–380 kV substations, ensuring reliable and secure operation in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review SCADA system architecture, RTU configurations, network topologies, I/O lists, control logic diagrams, and interface drawings.Configure and program RTUs, PLCs, and IEDs for substation automation applications.Integrate protection relays, meters, and bay control units with SCADA/RTU systems.Supervise SCADA panel installation, wiring, and field-device terminations.Ensure reliable communication between substation devices and control centers.Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and validate communications, redundancy, alarms, and control functions.Troubleshoot SCADA communication, hardware, and software issues and maintain system backups, configuration files, and technical documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, IEEE, SEC, and local utility requirements.Implement appropriate cybersecurity and data-integrity controls.Follow HSE requirements during field activities, testing, and commissioning.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.5–7 years of experience in SCADA and substation automation systems within the 13.8 kV–380 kV range.At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.Hands-on experience in SCADA/HMI programming and configuration.Knowledge and/or training in IEC 61850 and SCADA system integration.Relevant networking, cybersecurity, utility, or vendor certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Siemens, ABB, GE, or Schneider are highly relevant to the role.Key Technical SkillsSCADA System Architecture | Substation Automation | IEC 61850 | RTU & PLC Programming | IED Integration | SCADA/HMI | Communication Protocols | Data Acquisition & Control | Protection Relay Integration | FAT & SAT | Testing & Commissioning | Cybersecurity | TroubleshootingCore CompetenciesProblem Solving & Decision MakingPlanning & OrganizingEffective CommunicationTeamworkAccountability & ProfessionalismEfficiencyDelivering on TimePeople ManagementInterested candidates who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply through LinkedIn Easy Apply.
