Our finance department at Emirates Group is responsible for acquiring and managing financial resources to generate profit. The team is pivotal in providing relevant financial information contributing to the productivity of our business functions, planning, and decision-making activities.
As a finance applications lead, your role will be to manage and deliver financial systems enhancements and support for finance on a global scale, to ensure the provision of best-in-class financial systems, applications, and management information for use internally by finance and across the business, including to inform and enable commercial decisions. The role is also expected to help in the implementation and compliance with the effective policies and processes for financial systems access and master data updates ensuring appropriate control over Group's assets and accurate financial information processing.
In this role, you will:
Ensure effective management and delivery of the FA&MM program backlog leading the product management lifecycle for assigned products (financial application/modules) which includes understanding business process changes, requirements, feature refinement, solution design, user experience definition, personas and process journey mapping, testing, training, and coordinating the delivery of features to production in coordination with IT.
Represent the finance end-user/stakeholders for the assigned products; hence the role needs to ensure alignment with respective technical product owners (TPO) for product roadmap management and Scrum Masters (SM) from IT to ensure successful delivery of current program increment (PI) plan and support the FPM for PI planning for the respective assigned products.
Act as a product specialist on strategic and operational projects across respective working groups for products under responsibility, as and where impacted or need integration with other finance or non-finance applications to deliver wider scoped initiatives. Collaborate with other product owners internally (IT, finance or outside finance) and externally (vendors, banks) to design integrated solutions for optimized data flow across multiple systems while ensuring the necessary financial controls are in place keeping a wider lens to solutions.
Ensure compliance with service line agreements (SLAs) agreed related to application support requests (ASRs) by engaging with IT and respective external vendors and banks, as required. Provide product specialist advice and functional consultancy to the support team on issues, identify product improvements based on a data and insights driven approach by identifying root causes for recurring issues and fixing them via product enhancements.
Ensure alignment of FA&MM processes to all applicable policies for user access management and functional master management including but not limited to periodic reviews to ensure a self-checking mechanism on key user access and functional masters within the products under responsibility. Functional masters could include e.g., contracts, supplier, customer, bank masters, etc.
Write standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides and setup/configuration documents for systems (core configuration) and functional masters for financial applications which guides the rest of the team to maintain the respective financial application in good health and ensure accurate financial information processing.
Support the training plan driven by FPMs to address identified training needs from across the stakeholder groups to enable better utilization of technology and adoption. A success metric for FPOs is better utilization of the products under responsibility and avoidance of any outside-the-system processes and/or non-standard (customized) solution.
Manage and help improve performance of the unit, and provide upskilling opportunities to support talent development. Provide continuous feedback, facilitate professional development and ensure continuous improvement.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
Degree in technology, finance or accounting related
Experience in large multi-national companies in a supervisory capacity, focused on applications/product management. Functional (finance and/or accounting) knowledge

Functional product knowledge of financial applications highly desired which include but not limited to:
