Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable. Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food industry environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, along with excellent analytical, communication, and internal controls awareness.
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounts payable operations, ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier transactions, maintain strong internal controls, and support month-end closing activities while managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounts payable activities and ensure all invoices are processed accurately and on timeReview and control the three-way matching process between purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoicesInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in coordination with Procurement, Warehouse, and other relevant departmentsManage month-end accounts payable closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and clearing outstanding itemsPrepare and review vendor payment plans based on due dates, approvals, and cash flow requirementsReview supplier payments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approval workflowsMaintain strong relationships with suppliers and handle payment-related inquiries and escalationsPerform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding differencesReview foreign currency transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment of exchange rate differencesMonitor accounts payable aging and identify risks related to overdue balances and vendor exposurePrepare periodic reports, reconciliations, and analysis for management reviewEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and segregation of duties requirementsSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and informationGuide and support junior team members while ensuring continuity of operations during staff absencesPerform any other duties related to the position as assigned by managementQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in Accounts PayableExperience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food industry environments is preferredStrong knowledge of accounts payable processes, three-way matching, accruals, reconciliations, and VAT regulationsExperience working with ERP systems and financial softwareAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelGood communication skills in EnglishRequired SkillsAccounts payable managementFinancial reconciliation and reportingERP systems proficiencyAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and deadline managementInternal controls and compliance awarenessVendor relationship managementCommunication and stakeholder managementTeam coordination and leadership
