Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required, with a Master's Degree being preferred. A valid DHA license is mandatory. Position: Senior PharmacistLocation: Dubai, UAEEmployment Type: Full-timeA reputable healthcare organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacist to join its team.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and evaluate patient drug therapy, including appropriateness of medication, dosage, route of administration, drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, and adverse drug reactions.Review and verify inpatient and outpatient prescriptions for accuracy prior to dispensing.Provide pharmaceutical information and advice on new and investigational drugs, side effects, contraindications, compatibility, stability, and therapeutic risks.Provide patient education and counselling on medication therapy, proper medication use, and drug-related disease prevention.Manage and control narcotic and investigational medicines in accordance with approved policies and procedures.Prepare, package, dispense, and deliver medications and sterile products in line with established standards.Prepare sterile products, including IV admixtures and TPN.Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation of medications dispensed.Conduct routine inspections of medication storage areas and floor stocks to ensure expired or unusable medications are removed.Support the training and development of pharmacy students.Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.Master's Degree in Pharmacy is preferred.Valid DHA license is required.Relevant pharmacy experience in accordance with the required experience criteria.Strong knowledge of medication therapy, drug interactions, prescription review, and pharmaceutical care.Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy, sterile preparations, IV admixtures, and TPN is an advantage.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
