Job DescriptionThe Senior Process Engineer is responsible for executing and coordinating process engineering activities for large-scale Upstream Offshore Oil & Gas projects throughout all phases of project development, including Conceptual Studies, FEED, Detailed Design, EPC, Commissioning, and Start-up. The role involves developing process engineering deliverables, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, client standards, and international codes. The ideal candidate will have extensive offshore oil and gas experience, preferably within a PMC environment, and a strong track record of delivering major projects in the Middle East/GCC region.ResponsibilitiesPerform and coordinate process engineering activities for upstream offshore oil and gas projects.Develop and review process engineering deliverables including:Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Process Design Basis DocumentsHeat and Material BalancesProcess DatasheetsUtility SummariesProcess NarrativesRelief and Flare System CalculationsConduct process simulations, calculations, and design studies using industry-standard software.Prepare equipment process specifications for separators, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, dehydration units, and treatment systems.Support process safety activities including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies.Review and comment on vendor documents and engineering deliverables.Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Safety Engineering disciplines.Participate in design reviews, model reviews, technical workshops, and client meetings.Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, international standards, and client specifications.Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation measures.Support project planning, resource management, and schedule compliance.Mentor and guide junior process engineers and graduate engineers.Interface with clients, PMC teams, EPC contractors, and vendors on technical matters.QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemical engineering or Process Engineering from a recognized university.Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.Predominant experience in Upstream Offshore Oil & Gas projects.Demonstrated experience as a Senior Process Engineer on major EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects.PMC experience is highly preferred.Mandatory experience delivering large-scale offshore oil and gas projects.Mandatory project experience in the Middle East/GCC region.Extensive experience in offshore process facilities including:Central Processing Platforms (CPP)Wellhead PlatformsOil and Gas Separation SystemsProduced Water Treatment SystemsGas Compression FacilitiesGas Dehydration and Sweetening SystemsOffshore Pipeline FacilitiesUtility and Flare SystemsProven involvement in FEED and Detailed Engineering for major offshore projects.About UsWood is a global leader in consulting, engineering and operations for the energy and materials sectors.
