Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with 7-12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment process engineering, including a minimum of 7 years of in-Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) experience. Must have strong experience in designing, analyzing, optimizing, and troubleshooting water and wastewater treatment systems, preparing P&IDs, BFDs, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and O&M documentation. Experience working on water and wastewater treatment projects within an engineering, construction, EPC, or related environment is essential. A Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification is required.

Rawafid is looking for an experienced Water Process Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, development, optimization, and operation of water and wastewater treatment systems. The role will be responsible for delivering process engineering solutions, developing treatment process designs and calculations, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and project requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, project teams, and other engineering disciplines to deliver water and wastewater treatment projects safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and expertise in the design, operation, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment facilitiesDevelop, evaluate, model, and simulate new and existing water and wastewater treatment technologies and processesConduct process audits and assessments to identify operational improvements and optimization opportunitiesPrepare process models, mathematical models, simulations, and sensitivity analyses using approved engineering softwareDevelop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs)Prepare mass balance calculations, process calculations, design reports, engineering drawings, and technical specificationsSize water process equipment, pumping and lifting stations, tanks, dry wells, and wet wells for water/sewer networks and treatment plantsPrepare priced and unpriced Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and support engineering cost estimatesDevelop operation and maintenance manuals, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Troubleshoot and resolve process and operational issues in water and wastewater treatment plantsCoordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure process designs comply with relevant discipline requirementsWork closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project executionSupport the successful delivery of projects in accordance with technical, schedule, quality, and budget requirementsPrepare technical and calculation reports and other engineering documentationStay current with emerging technologies, industry developments, and best practices in water and wastewater treatmentProvide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineersRequirementsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline7-12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment process engineeringMinimum 7 years of in-Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) experienceStrong experience in the design, analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment systemsExperience with process calculations, mass balances, equipment sizing, process modeling, and treatment plant designExperience preparing P&IDs, BFDs, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and O&M documentationExperience working on water and wastewater treatment projects within an engineering, construction, EPC, or related environmentStrong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, environmental requirements, and applicable engineering standardsExperience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and interacting with clients and other project stakeholdersSaudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification is requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred
