Job description
We are seeking a highly qualified consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Al Dhafra Region. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, and their families, delivering evidence-based mental health care within a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health disorders.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, trauma-related disorders, and mood disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments for children and adolescents presenting with acute psychiatric conditions.
Collaborate with pediatricians, psychologists, therapists, social workers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
Offer family counseling, psychoeducation, and support to parents and caregivers.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to patient-centered care planning.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and international clinical guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, teaching, research, and continuing medical education activities.
Supervise junior physicians, residents, and allied mental health professionals as required.
