Description

Conducts functional assessment and develops a plan using treatment techniques to promote improvement in the activity of daily living of patients and individuals which includes improvement or restoration of physical function and prevention of disability. Treats and assists patients or individuals in preventing the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.


Provides treatments to patients or individuals as clinically indicated or prescribed by the attending physician or organized and structured patient care plan agreed upon by the physician and other multi-disciplinary team members. Performs all clinical procedures and treatments following the evidence-based practice and the clinical policy and procedures or guidelines established by the department, the hospital, the Department of Health Authority (DHA) and the Joint Commission International (JCI). Provides or assists clinical support and supervisions to other Junior Physical Therapists when required.
