Essential: Bachelor's degree in a recognized healthcare field, with a postgraduate qualification in a related specialty education program. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in health coaching, health education, patient engagement, lifestyle intervention, chronic disease support, or wellbeing. Demonstrated experience using motivational interviewing, shared goal-setting, action planning, and relapse-prevention techniques. Experience supporting individuals through digital, telephone, video, and/or in-person channels. Experience documenting clinical/coaching activity and maintaining confidentiality. Desired: Postgraduate qualification in health promotion, behavioral science, psychology, public health, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, exercise science/physiology, sleep health, or a comparable credential. Training in chronic disease self-management, lifestyle medicine, digital health, data protection, and/or patient safety. Basic Life Support certification. Arabic language capability is advantageous.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:The Health Coach is a licensed healthcare professional who provides structured, personalised and evidence-informed clinical health coaching to support individuals participating in digital health, virtual care, workforce wellbeing, preventive health, weight-management and chronic disease programmes.The role enables individuals to translate agreed clinical and health goals into sustainable behavioural change through health education, motivational interviewing, shared goal-setting, action planning and regular follow-up.Working within the scope of the individual's UAE professional licence, competence and approved clinical pathways, the Health Coach uses relevant clinical and programme information, patient-reported outcomes, remote-monitoring information and wearable data to support self-management and behaviour change. The role collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team and recognises and escalates clinical, psychological and patient-safety concerns requiring assessment or intervention beyond the individual's authorised scope.The profile builds upon the clinical coaching model and scope supplied by the line manager while strengthening professional licensing, governance and escalation requirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:Deliver Personalised, Evidence-Informed Health CoachingSupport Digital Health, Remote Monitoring and Chronic Disease ProgrammesCoordinate Care, Manage Escalation and Protect Patient SafetyDrive Engagement, Quality and Programme PerformanceMaintain Professional Practice, Clinical Governance and Continuous DevelopmentREQUIRED EDUCATION:Essential: Bachelor's degree in a recognised healthcare field relevant to the assigned Health Coach programme and meeting the applicable requirements of the UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) | Where appointment is under the Health Educator licensing title, the candidate must meet the applicable PQR qualification requirements for Health Educator, including the required postgraduate qualification in a related Specialty Education Program | Recognised education/training in health coaching, behaviour change, motivational interviewing or a related discipline appropriate to the assigned roleDesired: Postgraduate qualification in health promotion, behavioural science, psychology, public health, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, exercise science/physiology, sleep health or another field relevant to the assigned programme | Internationally recognised health-coaching credential/certification such as NBC-HWC, UKIHCA, HCANZA, NHS Certified Health Coach or comparable recognised credential | Training in chronic disease self-management, lifestyle medicine, digital health, data protection and/or patient safety | Basic Life Support certification where required | Arabic language capability is advantageousREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Essential: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in health coaching, health education, patient engagement, lifestyle intervention, chronic disease support, wellbeing or a related healthcare environment, subject to the requirements of the applicable UAE PQR licensing title | At least 2 years experience delivering structured one-to-one and/or group-based behaviour-change interventions where required for the appointed professional pathway | Demonstrated experience using motivational interviewing, shared goal-setting, action planning and relapse-prevention techniques | Experience supporting individuals through digital, telephone, video and/or in-person channels | Experience documenting clinical/coaching activity, maintaining confidentiality and recognising and escalating clinical or safety concerns through defined pathwaysDesired: 5 years experience supporting weight management, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, medication adherence, sleep, stress management and/or preventive-health programmes | Experience with digital-health applications, remote-monitoring tools, connected devices and wearables | Experience supporting healthcare workers, shift workers, corporate populations and/or culturally diverse populations | Experience facilitating group education, webinars or bilingual health programmes
