Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Chemistry, or a relevant discipline.Minimum of 20 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a managerial or similar leadership position.Proven experience in the plastics manufacturing industry is required.Preferred experience in manufacturing plastic household products intended for direct food contact is required.Proven Strong practical experience in Food Safety Management Systems, ISO 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001, GMP, CAPA, root-cause analysis, internal auditing, and risk assessment.Preferred Strong knowledge of the safety requirements applicable to plastic raw materials and products intended for food contact.Ability to review food-grade certificates, supplier declarations of compliance, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, migration-test reports, and relevant laboratory results.Strong knowledge of Total Quality Management, TPM principles, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous-improvement methodologies.Preferred Strong knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques, including SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, and 8D.Experience in managing certification, customer, regulatory, and supplier audits.Strong analytical, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Very good command of written and spoken English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-reporting systems.Preferred QualificationsCertified ISO 22000 and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.Certified HACCP or Food Safety professional.Experience with plastic injection, extrusion, and other relevant plastics-manufacturing processes.Knowledge of applicable Egyptian and international regulatory requirements for plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
Description
Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Food Safety systems, policies, and procedures.Ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, production processes, and finished products comply with approved specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality and food-safety standards.Ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of plastic household products intended for direct food contact.Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality and food-safety management systems.Prepare the company for internal, external, customer, regulatory, and certification audits and ensure the timely closure of audit findings.Develop, implement, and regularly review HACCP plans, hazard analyses, operational prerequisite programs, and food-safety control measures.Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, hygiene, housekeeping, sanitation, and pest-control programs.Establish and supervise incoming-material, in-process, and finished-product inspection and testing procedures.Ensure that plastic raw materials, color masterbatches, additives, packaging materials, and other production inputs comply with approved specifications and food-contact safety requirements.Review suppliers’ certificates, declarations of compliance, food-grade documentation, and relevant laboratory test reports.Review and issue Non-Conformance Reports for rejected or non-compliant materials, processes, and finished products.Lead root-cause analysis and ensure the implementation and effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions.Review and analyze inspection results, laboratory tests, production samples, customer complaints, and quality-performance trends.Provide Production and Operations Management with clear technical feedback and recommendations based on quality-control results.Stop or hold production and product release when serious quality or food-safety risks are identified.Establish product traceability, product-release, withdrawal, and recall procedures and ensure their effectiveness through periodic testing.Investigate customer complaints and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented and followed up.Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, suppliers, customers, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities on quality and food-safety matters.Establish and monitor departmental KPIs, including rejection rates, scrap, customer complaints, supplier quality, audit findings, food-safety incidents, and cost of poor quality.Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Food Safety teams.Prepare periodic quality and food-safety reports and present findings, risks, and improvement plans to senior management.Analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities.Monitor organizational procedures to ensure proper functioning.Communicate organizational information to customers.
