Job description
In this role, you will develop and maintain interline strategy, negotiate and develop interline and codeshare commercial settlement agreements to Etihad’s advantage to support optimal partner revenue generation. You will also drive key internal stakeholders to drive maximum utilization of interline/codeshare pricing.
Accountabilities
Leadership
Develop and maintain partnership revenue settlement strategies for all Etihad’s interline and codeshare partners.
Own end-to-end process of contract negotiation to deliver effective commercial agreements (SPA/RSA, BITA, other partner agreements).
Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to drive updates pre implementation of new/updated contracts.
Use expertise to influence other airline activities and decision-making during contract negotiation.

Comply with defined contract approval process for all commercial agreements finalized.
Ensure appropriate codeshare class mapping and Chart2 filings are agreed and implemented to Etihad’s benefit.

Complete regular strategic reviews with focus on overall performance and identification of partnership opportunities to develop new partnership revenue streams from existing portfolio.
Identify new interline partners that could drive new interline revenue streams onto the Etihad network.
Processes and tools
Ensure efficient processes are adhered to supported by effective controls.
Utilize technology, reporting and data in managing all commercial agreements finalized.
Knowledge growth
Work closely with EY teams and external parties (IATA etc.) to expand industry knowledge.
Distribution
Ensure EY GDS and direct distribution make the best use of SPA and codeshare agreements to optimize revenues.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or with relevant analytical and commercial experience.
Additional qualification in statistics, mathematics is preferable but not essential.
7+ years airline or other relevant travel industry experience.
Understanding of airline settlement and proration principles.
Alliance and interline agreements (SPA/Code-Share).
Preferred experience in a pricing related role ideally with fare construction.
