Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree. MD / DNB / MRCPCH / Arab Board / equivalent recognized qualification in Neonatology / Pediatrics with Neonatal Fellowship. Valid or eligible Oman medical license. Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience in Neonatology. Strong NICU experience with premature and critically ill newborns. Experience with neonatal ventilation and critical care is required. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Description
We are seeking an experienced Neonatologist to join our leading healthcare facility in Oman. The successful candidate will provide specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and work closely with pediatric, obstetric, and multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to premature, low-birth-weight, and critically ill newborns. Manage neonatal emergencies, respiratory distress, sepsis, jaundice, and other neonatal conditions. Provide care for babies requiring mechanical ventilation, CPAP, and other respiratory support. Manage neonatal complications and coordinate appropriate investigations and treatment. Conduct neonatal assessments and monitor growth, development, and clinical progress. Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, neonatal nurses, and other specialists. Counsel parents regarding the newborn's condition, treatment, prognosis, and follow-up. Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation. Participate in NICU quality improvement, clinical audits, and multidisciplinary meetings. Participate in on-call duties and emergency neonatal coverage.
