RequirementsMBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Surgery / Cardiothoracic Surgery or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification.Relevant specialist or board certification in Cardiac Surgery.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cardiac surgery.Demonstrated experience in cardiac surgical procedures and complex cardiac cases.Strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Eligibility for the relevant UAE medical licensing authority is required.

Our leading healthcare facility in Sharjah is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiac Surgeon to join its surgical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention and providing comprehensive surgical care in collaboration with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and diagnose patients with cardiac conditions requiring surgical intervention.Perform cardiac surgical procedures according to clinical expertise and hospital privileges, including coronary artery bypass and valve procedures.Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop appropriate surgical plans.Provide post-operative management and monitor patients for complications and recovery.Work closely with cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.Discuss treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected recovery with patients and their families.Maintain accurate medical records, operative notes, and patient documentation.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.Follow established clinical guidelines, infection-control procedures, and hospital policies.Keep up to date with developments and advances in cardiac surgery.
