Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Dental Hygiene and a minimum of two years of experience post-qualification. Must possess excellent English communication skills, computer proficiency, knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Private hospital experience and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification are preferred.

Position Description:Educates patients on oral hygiene and performs dental hygiene services and procedures.Position Responsibility:Performs dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride, root planning, and in-office whitening treatments.Completes a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and documents any abnormalities or suspected conditions.Conducts visual examination and feeling of gums for signs of disease, sores, and other dental health issues.Refers patients to different dentists as per patients needs (GP Dentist, Orthodontist, Periodontist, Implantologist, and Oral Surgeon, etc.).Complies with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environmentPromotes preventative dental care to improve patient oral health care.Participates in activities to promote healthy oral hygiene in schools/ corporate events and increase patient footfall (business development activities).Educates patients on good oral hygiene techniques (how to brush your teeth, how to use dental floss and interproximal brushes, the type of food that can stain the teeth, etc.)Provides high-quality, comprehensive dental care and maintains a dental hygiene program for patientsCarries out Perio charting and sub-gingival scaling for patients with Periodontal DiseaseRecords dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentistsMaintains dental equipment and x-ray machineMaintains patient confidentialityPosition Qualification:Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Dental HygieneProfessional Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-qualification in a related fieldExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsAbility to use computers for a variety of tasksKnowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practicesKnowledge of computer taskBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferredPrivate hospital experience preferred
