Description
We're looking for a Duty Manager / FOH Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations, acting as the responsible person on shift and ensuring every guest receives a consistently high standard of service. The Duty Manager coaches and directs the FOH team in a fast-paced, high-volume rooftop venue and works closely with kitchen, bar, and hotel management to deliver seamless service.ResponsibilitiesLead FOH team during service — floor coverage, table management, guest flowAct as responsible person on shift; ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and host responsibility obligationsGreet guests, resolve complaints and service issuesMonitor service standards across dining, bar, and event spacesCoordinate with kitchen and bar teams on food/beverage deliveryManage opening/closing procedures, including till reconciliation and end-of-shift reportingSupport recruitment, induction, and training of FOH staffRun pre-shift briefings (specials, events, priorities)Assist with rostering and shift coordinationReport maintenance, H&S, or operational issues to the Venue ManagerBudget/AccountsMonitor daily revenue and labour costs against targetsMinimise wastage, contribute to cost-effective FOH operationEnsure accurate processing of cash, EFTPOS, and tab transactionsHealth & SafetyMaintain a strong H&S culture and comply with all H&S requirements/policyTake no action (or inaction) that could cause harm; avoid unreasonable risksReport accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazardsFollow safe methods and use safety equipmentSeek guidance when a safe method isn't known
