Supervises the Production Engineers, ensuring they are correctly guiding the workforce and following standard operating procedures for non-standard fabrication.Monitors production output, quality, and equipment performance continuously, paying special attention to unique specifications for each custom order.Coordinates directly with the Engineering teams to resolve ambiguities in drawings or specifications before production continues.Ensures that all custom products are fabricated according to engineering drawings, tolerances, welding symbols, and finishing requirements.Reports machine breakdowns or special tooling needs to the Maintenance department and follows up to minimize downtime on critical custom orders.Conducts regular quality checks at each stage, ensuring that custom dimensions, weld quality, and surface finish meet specifications.Enforces strict safety protocols, especially for complex fabrication that may involve unusual lifting, handling, or setup procedures.Trains and mentors Production Engineers and new workers on custom fabrication techniques, reading complex drawings, and special welding processes.Reviews material usage and scrap reports, identifying opportunities to reduce waste on custom jobs.Reports production performance, technical challenges, and improvement suggestions to the Area Manager continuously.
