As a Vice President in the Natural Resources (Mining & Energy) sector with extensive client coverage experience, you will demonstrate strong business acumen and a proven track record in developing clients and marketing total business solutions. You will be responsible for supporting an outstanding network of relationships with corporate and institutional clients that lie at the heart of our Investment Banking franchise. You’ll bring to our team deep experience identifying and developing new business opportunities with existing clients within Natural Resources, while exploring new business opportunities with new clients.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Working with local and global coverage and product teams to advise clients on integrated financial solutions including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
- Leadership capabilities in coordinating deal execution teams, engaging key client stakeholders, fostering deep relationships with the firm’s existing clients and initiating business opportunities with new clients
- Capability to develop strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across the Australian and global business, to bring the firm’s full capabilities to bear for our Australian corporate clients
- Maintaining a strong team culture that promotes team efficiency and effectiveness, supports junior development and an operating philosophy of “thinking for the client”
- Personal commitment to act with integrity and professional standards consistent with J.P. Morgan’s code of conduct
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the front office of a top tier Investment Bank
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Highly driven, detail-oriented, diligent with strong analytical, communication and writing skills
- Well versed in M&A, ECM and DCM with a track record of leading the execution of deals
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in team
