We are seeking a Western trained, board certified consultant family medicine physician to join a prestigious healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced physician to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary care in a modern, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including preventive, acute, and chronic care.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions using evidence-based clinical practices.
Perform routine health assessments, annual physical examinations, and preventive health screenings.
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary.
Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular conditions.
Provide women's health, men's health, geriatric care, and adolescent healthcare services within the scope of family medicine.
Promote preventive healthcare through patient education, lifestyle counseling, immunizations, and wellness programs.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education (CME), and departmental meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications & requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
Completion of an accredited residency training program in family medicine.
Board certified in family medicine from one of the following countries:
USA (ABFM)
Canada (CCFP)
United Kingdom (CCT/MRCGP)
Australia (FRACGP)
New Zealand (FRNZCGP)
Ireland (MICGP)
Or another DHA-recognized Western board certification.
Western-trained physician is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of post-board certification experience as a consultant/attending family medicine physician.
Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) consultant license.
Excellent clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience working in internationally accredited hospitals or premium outpatient clinics.
UAE or GCC experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
Fluency in English is essential; additional languages such as Arabic are an advantage.
Strong commitment to quality improvement, preventive medicine, and patient satisfaction.
