The School offers a BSc in Accounting, a BSc in Business Administration, and a BSc in Finance.The School is committed to providing excellence in education through highly qualified faculty members with extensive backgrounds and experience.Scope of WorkThe Dean of the School of Business provides strategic, academic, and administrative leadership to deliver high-quality business education at AIU. The Dean will shape curricula, foster faculty development and research, build industry partnerships, and guide the School through accreditation and growth as part of AIU's evolving academic portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and management for the School of Business, including oversight of full-time and adjunct faculty, academic programs, and administrative operations.Lead curriculum development, course scheduling, program assessment, and continuous improvement of degree offerings to ensure academic excellence and market relevance.Manage the School's budget, resource allocation, and strategic planning.Drive faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance review, and professional development.Promote a culture of research and scholarship across the School; support faculty and student research activities.Maintain and engage the Business Advisory Committee to align programs with industry needs and employer expectations.Lead and coordinate accreditation efforts and quality assurance activities (institutional and programmatic), including familiarity with American accreditation frameworks and specialized systems such as AACSB.Ensure the School's website and public communications accurately reflect programs, achievements, and student opportunities.Foster industry and community partnerships, internships, and experiential learning opportunities for students.Represent the School in university leadership meetings and contribute to institution-wide strategic initiatives.Promote student success, retention, progression, and graduate employability through data-informed academic leadership.Reporting Departments (If Applicable)Faculty in the School of BusinessAdministrative and program support staffMinimum QualificationsThe ideal candidate shall demonstrate experience in professional and academic positions, as well as a strong record in teaching and outstanding academic achievements at the international level. The candidate is expected to demonstrate ongoing contributions in their field of specialization through published research in recognized international scientific journals, as well as participation in exhibitions, conferences, and symposiums, in addition to possessing the following degrees, qualifications, and professional experience:PhD. or equivalent from a recognized university.The rank of professor in one of the School's disciplines.A record of excellence in teaching and research appropriate to the rank of professor in one of the School's disciplines.Leadership qualities and proven research background in one of the School's disciplines.A clear vision for developing higher education in general and for the School in particular.Full familiarity with the credit hour and academic year (semester) system.Distinguished managerial experience in the affairs of higher education, preferably at the level of a college dean in a reputable university.Demonstrated experience leading or supporting institutional and/or programmatic accreditation, assessment, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Acumen in the area of human resources and administrative and financial concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with large sectors of a diverse community.Experience in communicating with universities, professional and academic institutions, associations, unions, companies and business administration institutions, and other institutions within the field of education and research.Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) is a plus.Experience working within American, American-style, or internationally accredited higher education systems is preferred.Additional QualificationsPriority will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:Managerial experience and the skills necessary to launch pioneering projects.Multi-cultural skills.Active participation in reputable organizations.Knowledge of the methods of evaluation and related matters.Documentation demonstrating support for the achievements of teachers and students.Understanding of the latest teaching methods, including the use of technology in the teaching process.Demonstration of a commitment to enriching the educational experience of students.Experience leading, maintaining, or preparing for AACSB accreditation is highly desirable.How To ApplyInterested candidates should visit the Job Opportunities section on our website and submit a resume and cover letter via: https://aiu.edu.kw/careers/jobsApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
